Dublin Christian Academy (DCA) will host its annual Stag Stampede 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The community-wide event is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, with all proceeds directly supporting the academy’s athletic programs.
The upcoming race looks to build on the success of last year’s event. Last year, the event drew more than 100 runners and walkers. While the majority of participants traveled from the Monadnock region, the event also attracted runners from Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
Through registration fees and corporate sponsorships, last year’s event raised over $10,000 for DCA’s junior varsity and varsity soccer, volleyball, and basketball programs.
Both events will start and finish on the DCA campus playground located at 106 Page Road:
- Kids’ Fun Run (9:00 AM): This free, quarter-mile course is designed for younger participants. The route proceeds past the campus shop and offers views of Mount Monadnock before returning to the playground area.
- 5K Run/Walk (9:30 AM): Participants will traverse “the loop,” a single-lap course traditionally used as a training route by DCA athletes. The gently rolling, open-road course features a mix of paved and gravel surfaces. The route runs down Page Road, turns onto Craig Road, proceeds north on Route 137, turns onto Windmill Hill Road, and returns via Page Road.
Online registration is currently open. Early bird registration is just $25 per runner through July 31. Beginning Aug. 1, the entry fee goes to $30 and race day entry is $35. To guarantee an official Stag Stampede race shirt, participants must register by August 7, 2026. The kids’ fun run is free (no t-shirt included).
The Stag Stampede relies heavily on cooperation between the school, local families, and regional businesses.
