DUBLIN, N.H. – Dublin Christian Academy (DCA) celebrated its 62nd commencement on Saturday, May 30, marking a historic milestone for the school during an unforgettable weather event. The graduation of this year’s 19-member class officially pushes the total number of graduates in DCA’s history past the 1,000 mark.
The 10 a.m. ceremony, originally planned to take place on the back lawn, was moved indoors due to a rare weather event. The system brought a mix of rain and snow to the region, making this year’s commencement the only graduation day in DCA history to feature snow.
Despite the winter-like conditions outside, the atmosphere inside was warm, worshipful, and celebratory. The Class of 2026 reflects a diverse and accomplished student body, featuring nine international students from China and Peru. Leading the graduating class were Valedictorian Timothy Jin and Salutatorian Nathan Johnson, both recognized for their exceptional academic achievements and Christian character
The keynote commencement address was delivered by long-time DCA friend and ministry partner, Dr. Rand Hummel, who currently serves as the Staff Evangelist of The Wilds, Inc. Hummel challenged the graduates to anchor their identities firmly in Christ rather than worldly achievements, urging them to let a daily love for the Word of God guide their next steps, no matter how unpredictable the path ahead might seem.
“Reaching our 1,000th graduate in the middle of a historic spring snowstorm is a moment none of us will ever forget,” said Head of School Eric Moody. “But more than the milestones or the weather, we celebrate the spiritual and academic growth of these 19 young men and women. Having our dear friend Rand Hummel challenge them to love God with their whole hearts was the perfect send-off for a class that has left a lasting mark on our campus.”
With over 1,000 alumni now representing Dublin Christian Academy worldwide, the Class of 2026 stands as a testament to DCA legacy of academic excellence and spiritual training.
