DCA Stag Stampede Draws Over 100 Participants, Raises over $10,000 for Sports
Over 100 runners laced up on Saturday, Aug. 30 to support Dublin Christian Academy’s athletics program at the second annual Stag Stampede 5K & Fun Run. About 75 runners and walkers from as far away as Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia competed in the 5K, and dozens of young Stags ran in the ¼ mile fun run. The event raised over $10,000 for DCA’s Stags JV and varsity soccer, volleyball, and basketball programs.
Crisp, sunny weather added to the beauty of the scenic route that started and ended on the academy’s property on Page Road. Ben Cargill finished first with a time of 19:27.06, Jake Brunjes (’27), a junior at DCA, crossed the finish line at 19:40.89 to take second place. Victor Feofialktov came in third with a time of 20:17:75. The top three female competitors were Hilary Bemis with a time of 22:55.78), DCA seventh grader Tatiana Peragallo at 29:06.62, and DCA senior Samantha Fletcher (’26) at (29:54:55). Although most of the runners were from the Monadnock region, the event drew participants from as far away as Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, including a runner aiming to run a 5K in each of the 50 states.
The event was sponsored by Hutter Construction Corporation (timing sponsor, Edward Jones-Financial Advisor Andrew George (fun run sponsor), and NESS Sportswear (water station sponsor), Academy Roofing, Seppala Construction, Granite Bookkeeping, San-Ken Homes, Inc., RE/MAX Town Square, Laser Pro Foundations, Asher Construction, MC Build, our level 2 sponsor, Archer Properties, and our level 1 sponsor, Tru-Form Foundations, Inc.., Cindy (Moody) and Paul Jantz, Team Moody, and
