A legacy of generosity: 2026 Giving Day Results!

When we shared our $50,000 goal for Giving Day last week, we knew we were asking you to join a story of sacrifice that began over six decades ago. Today, we are humbled and overjoyed to share how that story continues.

By God’s grace, we surged past our $50,000 goal, raising just over $79,000. While our initial $50,000 target was set to jumpstart urgent plumbing and roofing repairs, this surplus—nearly $30,000 beyond our goal—allows us to make a larger dent in these critical infrastructure needs right away. By showing such strong internal support, we have created a powerful “proof of concept” for outside grantors. This makes us much more competitive for matching funds and may even increase the total grant amounts we qualify for. Your gifts are literally multiplying!

The energy on campus on Thursday was contagious. Our students and faculty spent the day decked out in school colors, competing for prizes and letting their creativity shine in our door-decorating contest. One of the most meaningful moments, however, was seeing our Upper School students pair up with the Lower School for a scavenger hunt. Together, they explored our campus to uncover the history of generosity at DCA—finding donor plates in library books, identifying gifted artwork, and realizing that almost every piece of this campus is a physical marker of God’s grace and someone’s personal sacrifice.

We are especially moved by the support that arrived in the final hours and even after midnight to bridge the gap and then some. It is a beautiful reminder that so many of you invest in our students’ futures, seeking no earthly applause, trusting that God sees every act of devotion. Regardless of the size of your gift, you have done more than fund building repairs; you have strengthened the foundation of this ministry. Through you, our students saw God’s grace in a tangible way. We are committed to using every dollar for our most vital capital needs, and we look forward to sharing updates as the work begins.
